03FAQ

Questions carriers ask us

Something else on your mind? Send it through the form below.

Is selling an MC authority legal?

Acquiring an existing trucking company together with its authority is a common business transaction. The ownership change has to be documented and reported through the proper filings, which is exactly what our process covers. We recommend reviewing any agreement with your own attorney.

What information do you need from me?

To start, only your MC or USDOT number, your name and contact details. Later in the process we ask for company documents needed for the transfer.

How is the price determined?

The offer depends on factors like the age of the authority, its status, safety and inspection history, and insurance history. Every offer is individual.

Am I obligated to sell after requesting an offer?

No. Requesting an offer is free and you can decline at any point before signing.

How long does the process take?

It depends on how quickly documents are ready and on processing times for the filings. We give you a realistic timeline together with the offer.
